New technology will allow people to use their TV by hand gestures alone, just like in the film Minority Report..

Seems good to me. Like with all technologies, you can use them or abuse them. If we could do it our way with remotes, gestures would just make it all better.

Yes Amit..
it would be so weird to see women at home using hand gestures to switch ova to channels to enjoy the chain of K-serials on tv... hehe

This technology is going to change the way we watch the television but what is challenging for the experts is to devise a tool embedded in a television that comprehends the difference between an intended gesture and a natural one. Currently the technology is even sensitive to a sneeze coz it just randomly reacts to any movement made. What would be the Zenith of this technology would be a phase where a person could customize it to his own liking. It would be stance where a person would walk into to his room and the telly would automatically switch to his favorite channel.

If remotes caused arguments in house, this will lead to fist-fights... I can imagine family members pushing each other to be in the camera vision so they can view their favorite program or channel.. better keep this technology away :)

Hahhahaha! Why to keep this technology away Manish? Temote is also one reason for fight among siblings, I mean family members. So let’s all dance and make various poses in front of the TV monitor. That would be a real fun (a live show) instead of watching the serials and reality shows I think. LOL! A good invention indeed!
